Chosen Solution
I can not get past the boot screen. Before it did this It was taking my password but not starting. I tried to press T when powering on and all I got was a thunderbolt arrow in a circle the moves around the screen.
Holding down the T on start up puts it into Target Mode for connecting to another Mac. Try holding down the option key and select your repair partition.
