When I log on to my MacBook Pro it works for about a minute, then it shuts off. It won’t start up for about 5 minutes afterwards, I originally thought the problem was the origin application as it has caused some problems in the past, but after deleting it it still shut down. There has been no water damage. Sometimes it makes a noise like a taser but there are no sparks and I haven’t been electrocuted. Help?
It might well be a overheating issue. Try unscrewing the bottom plate and see what’s the fan condition. If it’s full of dust you’ll have to remove it and blow it clean and check the heatsink is not clogged too.
You likely have a bad component or two on the logic board. Make a good inspection of both sides to see if you see any burnt damage. Once we know what your exact model is we can guide you on how do remove the logic board or you may want to find someone local with Mac skills to do it for you.
