hello, my mom spilled soda on my hp G60-230US computer and she DID NOT cut off power to it like i told her to do cause it was working with the exception of the trackpad Is there any way to recover it or is it toast? the symptoms are as follows the trackpad did not work at first, now it goes up and down without me doing a thing or will not register anything elsenow the trackpad dosent register movments every time in the middle now instead, it skips in the middle

Although we do not have any repair guides yet for that computer, I’m sure you’re able to open it.
My advice: Once you’re at a step where you can see the logic board, you should use some strong isopropyl alcohol (90%+) and a soft brush to remove any white-ish residue you see. You may also attempt to access the bottom side of the trackpad, and make sure those contacts do not have crystalized sugar on them. Let the device dry
