Hey! My acer monitor when turned on show the logo 3d and then the energy star logo too but when it get signal from the pc it just show vertical lines covering all the screen , plus when i suppose it comes the windows screen the lines start to move up and down. Anybody who knows what can cause that? Capacitors? Mmmhh Help!!!
MyCanemalato this “show the logo 3d and then the energy star logo “ comes from your computers firmware. The actual video is being processed by the main board inside your computer. I definitley would open it up and take a look to see if there is any obvious damage. Use this guide Acer G246HL Bbid Teardown for that. Does it only happen when connected to a computer? If possible, can you try hooking up another monitor to your pc. If using another monitor fixes the issue, then the monitor is bad. If it does not, then it is possible your video card is bad.
