Hi, I replaced my old battery because my old battery didn’t charge (stuck in the please charge screen After replacing it, it finally booted and functions well. However, when I plug in the charger (official), it doesn’t charge. The remaining battery started from around 60% assuming the replacement battery was pre-charged. Anyway, I also shut down the system and plugged the cable, and it automatically booted. Does this mean that tristar is still alive? My limited knowledge of tristar is that it is to regulate USB but seeing this happening, I just thought this might arise from another problem. Thank you,
A Tristar tester or a skillful technician may answer your question after some probing. Based on the symptoms it could be Tristar or any other part of the charging circuit, including Tigris and a cheerful lot of other components involved in battery charging one way or the other. Someone in a hurry may just replace Tristar and see how things go afterwards.
