Chosen Solution

I replaced the charging port, (which now works fine) but after I was intermittently able to make/receive texts for a couple of days with the signal changing from full to 4G to ‘no service’. It now shows up as having full signal and 4G & I can use my phone fine on wifi, but if I go to make a call it shows as ‘calling’ as normal but it wont connect and eventually says ‘call failed’, texts wont send either (internet messages/Whatsapp works fine) I don’t think its a software issues as I have done all the network reset/updates etc and still no solution. Im thinking it could be a coincidental breakdown of the cellular antenna as I’m sure I didn’t go near it in the dismantle of the phone for the charging port, I did think it may be the antenna flex cable ?? Any suggestions?

hello Natalie, “yes, your feelings do not disappoint you” - Lord Vader said to his son (I’m watching Star Wars festively). your problem is related to the communication of the antenna amplifier: low and high level with the antenna panel (located at the bottom of your phone). I suppose it was not plugged in properly when replacing the tape you wrote about. However, check beforehand the settings of the radio module in the settings (imei, modem firmware number, ICCID) in case of damage in that place. That is all. Recently, I have had a lot of similar damage. The law of the series :-)? regards,
