After taking apart and cleaning my ps4, replacing the optical drive and the cables, my ps4 now accepts discs, it makes the reading noise, but then nothing appears in the PS4 menu, also if I go onto the game’s tile, it comes up with ’no disc inserted’ Can anyone help me with this or give me some info. Thanks
I would first carefully check that the large ribbon cable is inserted correctly both in the connector on the motherboard as well as the connector on the disc drive board. Also, I’m not sure where you got your replacement optical drive but it’s very possible that it is bad. It may have a bad laser or some other part. You might consider putting your old drive back in…assuming that it still works. These are the first two things I would suspect.
Get a can of keyboard cleaner do light bursts of air if that does not work replace your sensor.
