Ok, so I had a faulty power strip that was causing my counsels to overheat, I managed to fix my ps3 and Xbox one, both run smoothly now, but my ps4 still has problems. I turn on my ps4, so long as I stay in the menu I have no problem, I plug in my head phones to the controller and browse psn as a play test, some lag and audio skips, unplug head phones, still laggy no audio skips, so far so ok. Alright, I launch Assassins creed origins (digital ver) to test the waters a little more, 5 minutes in? No problem. 5 minutes more? Now the real issues start, the cameras start moving on its own buttons start pressing themselves, i manage to close aco and in the menu the problem persists, I shut down the ps4, completely off, still plugged in, AND IT TURNS ITSELF BACK ON! Then off, then back on!! Then back off! it beeps when it turns on and off but it says it was turned off wrong, and starts repairing itself, it doesn’t turn off while doing this. Finally I shut the da** thing off and unplug it, (it stays off thankfully….) I’m not sure what could be causing this, the only thing I’ve heard that’s similar is static build up but I don’t know how to fix that… I would appreciate any advise or help. A few things to note though, my ps4 was having an extremely bad overheating problem on top of the bad power strip, it was completely full of dust, so I stripped it and changed the cpu paste, it was so hot inside that some of the plastic even warped from the heat and it was shutting down.
Alright, I think I fixed my ps4, I put my ps4 in safety mode, and selected ‘Rebuild Database’. That seems to face fixed the issue.
