My ps4 will not accept any discs. When I try to insert it no sound is coming from the drive and the ps4 makes no effort to suck the disk in. I would have to manually force it in. After watching thisrepair video and following the instructions it doesn’t seem like my problem was with the rollers or the connector However I did notice the white piece on the left was not coming down all the way
Also in the repair video when placing the cover back on the drive the rod is supposed to line up to the space of the white piece which mine does not
I believe that this is my issue. Does anyone know how to get this functioning properly?
Normally you can use the manual eject screw to get this piece back in place. If there are gears that are out of place or broken this may not be possible but it normally works great. I hope this helps.
