I have a HP Chromebook 14 G4. When powered on, the screen stays black [no backlight] but you can see [using flashlight] that the image is there. How can I determine if this is a LCD, lcd cable, or system board issue?
I work in a school district that has this same problem with this same model. The problem is the screen cable. For some reason it works its way loose. If you just snug the cable back in and tape it down it should work fine again.
