Chosen Solution
After replacing the battery, my screen is not receptive to touch in the lower left-hand corner. This is problematic in texting, as I cannot move between the qwerty keyboard and the emoticons. In order to access the qwerty keyboard, I have to rotate the phone to the landscape view specifically to the right because that forces the 123/ABC button to the lower-right hand corner. Did I mess something up while I was changing the battery? BTW….the new battery works great.
Try cleaning the contacts, check if all solderpoint are ok
