My screen just died from a little pressure from my left thumb on the lower left corner of the upper cover on the black bar outside of the display itself. Is there a legit fix for this or are the options solder a fuse and driver or buy a used logic board?
You may have dislodged the seating on the display data cable. It’s right where your thumb was. See step#11 on this guide and try reseating it: MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2014 Display Assembly Replacement
