Chosen Solution
Yesterday I dropped my laptop, which then show nothing to the screen but worked fine on external monitor. I tried the trouble shooting steps provided by HP on Youtube (https://youtu.be/sj6kYmT7GLs) but it didn’t help. So today I disassemble it to reconnect the cable on both MB and the LCD screen, and now there are picture but it flickering like this https://youtu.be/55-FnF6MIvk. I’m hoping to not replace the LCD because it not worth it. Thanks in advance.
Hi Since the external monitor display is OK and that you have reseated the video cable (assuming that it is not damaged where it passes through the hinge to get from the motherboard to the LCD display) it’s looking like a problem with the LCD panel. What is the full model number of the laptop?
