Hello, My Ipad Air 1 seems to work fine, all the buttons work and the tilt works but the only problem is that the screen doesn’t respond to touch. I’ve tried to restart it but nothing… I think I have to replace something inside but I’m not sure as to what I need to change. Can someone help? Thanks, Felix.
It would be reasonable to start from replacing the digitizer that is the top glass cover over the lcd panel. It’s not such a difficult repair and the part is quite inexpensive, but it’s relatively easy to damage antennas while removing the old glass and without the right tools and a minimum of experience the end result may be a bit sloppy. However it can be done on a DIY basis too.
