Hey guys.. have a little problem.. I got 2x iphone 8 and on both was charging flex replaced but both of them wont turn screen on. When I turn them on, they react on charging (make a sound of charging) but screen is black. I replaced screen with the new screen and they still dont work. Any solutions? (Before replacing the charging flex, both of them work. I mean screens)
Are you sure there is no image and not just no backlight? It looks like there are some data lines that run through the charge port which are in the same communication group (I2C group) as some backlight components. Although backlight issues can also result in no image on some phones. I am definitely suspicious of the charge ports if they are from the same place and both not working in the same way. I would also double check near the charge port and make sure when you disconnected the connector that none of the nearby components got knocked loose or off.
from the sound of it the only thing you can do is pop them open again and check your connections. make sure they’re seated good and no tears in the ribbons. also id suggest booting the phone while open so you can see if it turns on before closing it up.
