I have a broken part that was connected on the optic drive of the super slim it is in the photo I provided and I would like to know where I could get it and replace it, also would I need to fully replace my drive for it to read and run discs now or is there a fix? This all happened since I opened and cleaned up all the cached up dust inside.
The disc drive sensor switch cable was the issue. The console now runs good.
@ratenate if the drive worked before you cleaned your console, then there is no reason it will not work after you replace the broken part. Use these guides for a drive replacement if it is necessary PlayStation 3 Super Slim Repair and not sure where your broken part comes from. It will help if you can post some images of where it connects to. Looks like this part
