What can I do to shut them off?
Are you familiar with the switch on top of the steering column, between the steering wheel and the gauges? It is a forward / backward button and turns on “parking lights” mostly for legality over in the UK. Check that and make sure they’re off, it’s easy to hit and one that isn’t common here in the states.
This has happened to me once and this was the cause! :)
