My engine starts up and runs for a few seconds and then dies. I’ve clean my carburetor and took the float bowl off and cleaned it out. The bowl had a small pieces of a gel substance in it. I removed the carb and the float bowl and blew them all out. Also took the float of and needle valve and blew out the carb. I’ve checked the fuel lines and no cracks. Put it back together and it does the same thing. Any suggestions??
Problem solved. After removing the carb and pulling out the float and needle valve and using and air hose to blow it out, I put it back together and it did the same thing. I pulled of the bowl and the jet was clogged up. I blew it out and put the bowl back on and it now works good as new.
Starvation. See if this will give you an answer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gy--7hcB… If it’s a primer less one see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXztzNj0…
Another thing that can cause this is if the air filters haven’t been cleaned in a long time. If they’re clogged, the engine might not be getting enough air. Either clean or replace them.
