It works well during the disk selection stage(option key pressed during boot). but once i eneter recovery mode it stops working as if there is no hardware installed even when i boot up and try to on wifi it doesnot respond. it just stays off but bluetooth works fine after booting up. please help

Already tried an SMC reset ? If not give it a try. If that doesn’t change the picture there are basically two options, something bad with the wifi module or cable (cables hardly go bad), or a fault in the logic board.
