Lets back up here a bit why are you trying to use the custom Apple SSD in a Windows system? You face a few different issues here between the physical connection is not the same as a M.2 device and the drives data structure is not directly readable within MS Windows. OK so how do you recover the data on the drive? You would need a external case designed to hold the SSD and connected to a Mac system using one of these: OWC Envoy USB 2.0-3.0 Enclosure for 2010 & 2011 MacBook AirOWC Envoy USB 2.0-3.0 Enclosure for 2012 MacBook AirOWC Envoy Pro USB 3.0 Portable Enclosure For June 2013 to Current Mac Models If you are trying to repurpose the drive within a MS Windows system you will need to reformat the drive within MS Windows so it can be used. Update What you are facing here is the hardware level is working. But, the OS & App levels are not as you are trying to access them with MS Windows directly. This is not a driver issue this is an OS & App translation issue! You would need to find an application which runs under MS Windows that can translate the files within the SSD. Sorry to say I don’t know of any that will work effectively here as some files are just not translatable! As an example MS Word files can be read in both Mac & PC but Logic Pro X files are not translatable as there is no comparable app within MS Windows. This is why the OWC adapter to hold the SSD in question connected to a Mac system is needed here. The cheapest way! Yes, you could create a hackintosh system which is a PC running MacOS emulating a real Mac system. But that will take a lot more effort and more costly!
