Hey guys, I went into my Macbook Pro today in order to replace the battery and I noticed the the top Ram slot is not seating the RAM. It pops up and it took me some intricate maneuvering to get it to seat. Does anyone know the part # or piece to replace this?
Your image shows the left latch (and I can’t tell but I think thats also true with the right side as well) has not be set. Carefully pull the black tab to the side slightly so the edge of the latch clears the module. Sometimes the latches go down instead of out as you press the modules down. Do make sure you’ve fully seated the module into the connector. YouTube - Installing RAM Reference: MacBook Pro: How to remove or install memory
I solved the issue by attaching an elastic band around either side of the arms. seem to hold well thus far
