Okay I found this link online and the glass looks a little different. Link>link . I need to just replace the outside glass, will this video be okay to follow to get the job done? Here are some links that I found what appears to be the glass that I need. Link #1 I think this is the ticket that I need, and I don’t know if all come with a tool set, but this one shows it does. I was thinking about the set with the LCD and tools, but then I only need the outside screen, thanks for your help.
I can’t see the video mentioned to give an opinion if it would suffice in helping you do the job but I would always recommend getting the LCD along with the outside glass… the outside glass has a digitizer built into it and when disassembling it’s a possibility you could damage the LCD, so to have it handy would be nice and if you don’t damage the LCD then you could always put on the digitizer and save the LCD for future repair if needed it looks cheap enough to have it as a spare part
John W (taylor1277) on this model the digitizer (touchscreen) is easily replaced by itself. You should purchase that you feel comfortable repairing. Study the guides ahead of time and see if there are any areas that you’d be concerned about This is not a terribly complicated repair.
