Chosen Solution
I don’t have a model number to go by I bought a start coil for this 5 horsepower Tecumseh motor but it wouldn’t line up with my mounting hole on the side of the motor the only thing I can think of is to measure my bolt hole fittings and see if I can find a coil that has the same measurements where the holes are so I can mount it where mine goes but there’s another problem the two little ears that stick out from the head that holds the coil on one of them has broken halfway off I rethreaded it and got a longer bolt to put in there and used thick washers behind it to build it out so the coil will tighten down evenly but it came loose and now it’s threads are stripped again is there any way I can fix this without buying a new head
