My iPhone 6 was plugged in but not charging. Got to low and then never turned on again. Tried replacing charging port, etc. No luck - I’m fine if phone is dead but there are pics and text that I desperately need in regards to a custody case for my severely autistic son. Is there anyone I can contact or mail phone to - in an attempt to get photos and possibly texts off of it? I’m willing to pay but local guy (I love in rural Ohio) and the iPhone store have not been helpful.
Hello Rebecca. If you have tried replacing the battery and charge port then your problem probably lies with the charging circuit (U2/Tristar). This is a standard micro-soldering repair. There are several micro-soldering repair shops to choose from and many, if not most, offer mail-in repair service (myself included, check my profile). You could search this site for charging / battery problems for the iPhone 6 and you will see some of the contributors who do this kind of repair or you can search the web. This site is meant for DIY repairs and not soliciting work so I will leave it at that.
