Hey Guys! Have been using this site mostly to read and find answers but now I do have a customer who came in with an iPad model: A1458. The screen is cracked but the biggest problem is that it is deactivated due to his children tried to open it to many times with the wrong passcode. There is no biggie. You do just connect it to iTunes and put it in DFU mode and restore it as long as you have the iCloud account. BUT the power button doesn’t work. Any tips of what I can do? Thank you

You could try and bridge the contacts with a copper wire..that would act the same as pressing the home button

I’m a little slow but…why wouldn’t you fix the power button? It should be a few dollars in parts and a half hour of your time.

Let the battery dieFix the iPad
