Chosen Solution

Good afternoon. So I’ve had a problem with my phone for about 6 months now where the speakers simply do not work. I got around to trying to fix them via part replacement but that had zero effect. I was hoping someone can at least shed some light on what happened. More specifics on the issues: the lower speaker was the first to go out, but the earpiece speaker did work for about a month or so longer. The speakers (or at least the earpiece one) would suddenly start working for about 5 minutes but this was very random and infrequent. Additionally my cellular service got “wonky” a little bit before the earpiece speaker went out, the cellular would go in and out with no recognizable pattern. Lastly, I have reset the phone to factory settings and all that jazz as well. I bought parts and replaced them, this is my 5th or 6th time working on an iPhone so I’m somewhat confident but still quite careful (I really don’t think I damaged the phone). Any help would be great, working on the phone for 2 hours to not get any results was super disappointing. Thanks!

You seem to have a few problems going on. I would suggest replacing the charge port assembly and see if that fixes the lower speaker and cell service. If it doesn’t you most likely have a board problem which is causing the problems. If it does fix the lower speaker I would recommend replacing the ear piece speaker assembly again as the one you installed could be of low quality.
