I just replaced my battery in my computer and it’s dying very quickly. I’ve been on it for probably 20 minutes and it’s already at 89%. Is this common in new batteries or did I get a dud? My keyboard lights are off and my screen light is less than 50% so I know that can’t be a contributing factor.
This really depends on what you are doing in that 20 minutes. It also depends on if you got a knock off battery, what the maximum charge is. Download Coconut Battery to get a much better look at what it’s doing an let us know your results. It also depends on which Mac you have, so please give us the last four figures of your serial number. http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutba…
Probably trash battery, all batteries available for this are knockoff $@$* or used with cycle count reset. People refurbishing old cases with new cells are hard to find, you will have to find that or settle with trash battery.
Hello, I have the same problem. I bought a new battery for my MacBook Pro Unibody mid 2010 (under OS X El Capitan) on iFixit website. After few weeks of utilisation, my battery can’t be used during more of 1 hour… An idea ?
