Why does the battery only work for a year???
Battery life is not a set standard. It’s life will vary greatly depending on how you use the device, how you charge it and the quality of the battery to begin with. I would recommend you use a battery utility, such as coconutBattery (for Mac) or 3uTools (for Windows). It will tell you what the health of the battery is. Anything less than 70% of design capacity will require replacement. As for the battery itself, there are a lot of low quality batteries on the market. iFixit sells high quality batteries
