Hi there, Recently finished putting together a new PC build. Here are some specifics. Eclipse p400 caseMSI Z390-A pro motherboardGeforce 1060 6GB cardDDR4 2x8 GB ramSeagate Barracuda 2TB HDWDS250G2X0C 250GB I am getting issues with the “Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device prompt. I have tried changing boot options to each of the HDs, as they both come up as options. Doesnt help. Tried removing the little motherboard battery for 5 mins and sticking back. Nothing. Thoughts?
This is absolutely normal, neither of those devices are bootable. Assuming you’re installing Windows, you’ll need to put the Media Creation Tool on another PC so you can create a bootable USB, which you can, in turn, boot to and install an OS on your SSD. Good luck! PC building is great, I’ve got 11 builds under my belt, so feel free to ask me if you need anything else!
