Chosen Solution
Hi, So I just replaced display and battery in my iPhone 5. What I noticed is that screen on the side is lifted just a little bit more than usual (0.5mm or so). Everything works fine but when you press harder on the screen you can see the usual artefacts like you’d normally see on other (unprotected) LCD displays. Is this the fault of the cheap display replacement (no gorilla glass) ? Or maybe the battery is thicker than original one ?
this is very common when you replace an iphone screen with a non iphone factory screen. the cheaper screens have the tendency to not fit exactly. One solution that should help out some is to get a really good case for the phone that will tighten the screen up somewhat. Most likely though it is because you used a cheaper screen
