Solved New Screen Doesn T Work Black With Only A Few Streaks Of Light Iphone 5S

Hi I replaced my cracked phone screen and it went well until I tried to turn it on. The new screen is just dead black with three small streaks that show the back light. When I plug the old screen in (via the digitizer ribbon– not with home button or camera) it still worked. The new screen seems to have everything installed correctly, and I reviewed the proceedure multiple times. Is the new screen broken? It has a small red band painted on the digitizer ribbon.
