backlight seems to work? I did a hard reboot…no change still dark. When it happened it just blinked out…no flicker or dimming. Update (08/23/2022) Not dropped. That was what was strange…i’m reading something on phone and it went dark…no buttons touched…not even moving…just off like it went to sleep but that slight back light glow remained…music will play if I plug in apple head phones. ifixit requested a video… then ill take it apart and look for clues. cheers
Hi Was it dropped or any other form of damage when this issue started? Try opening it up and checking for any blown or burned components that are obvious Also try reseating the display and trying your old display to see if the behaviour continues if it does I would contact iFixit and see what they say as I think they will be able to get your issue sorted:-) Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)
