I bought a new battery for my MacBook Pro mid 2010 from ifixit . The original battery would charge but not hold it. The new battery after replacement will not charge at all. Is there anything that can be done, did I miss a step in how to reset charging ? The computer works while plugged in, but does not charge the battery.
If you have tried an SMC and NVRAM reset, and the battery icon does not show an X (so it recognises a battery is plugged in), it will be a faulty battery. Return for a replacement.
