Hi, Just to clarify.

  1. You can hear when you use a headset.
  2. You cannot hear when you use phone in the usual manner.
  3. You can hear when using the phone in the loudspeaker mode. If it is # 2 it is either: a) The earphone jack is faulty.It has electrical contacts that tell the phone when a headphone is inserted and it disconnects the internal earpiece (receiver). b) The internal earpiece (receiver) is either faulty or has come loose off the systemboard
