I dropped my Samsung Syncmaster 2032bw, and after that the backlight is not working, the monitor turns on and works but i dont see anything untill i use a flashlight, and point it directly at a monitor. is there a cheap fix for this?
Hi, Here’s the service manual for the monitor. The manual shows how to disassemble the monitor and has schematics which should help you to find out why there is no backlighting. Perhaps it may just be a loose connection on the backlight (lamp) connector cable between the IP board and the lamps and hopefully something has not broken but you will need to open it up to find out. The monitor has CCFL tubes for the backlighting and not LEDs that why I said hopefully nothing is broken
