I recently did a clean install of windows after replacing the hard drive after it was done I noticed there was a message that said battery not detected to test it I unplugged the power and immediately shut off. Before all of this I know for sure it was working without the ac plug. I have double checked that I plugged everything back into place.
Hi @louie77, Try the following: Go to Device Manager >Battery > right-click ACPI compliant entry > uninstall then restart the laptop and check. If it still shows as not detected, create a Win 10 battery report and check what it says. If still not there open the laptop and check the connections again. I know you said that you double-checked before closing but…. If your laptop is no longer holding a charge for long periods of time or always needs to be plugged into a power source to work, use this Lenovo IdeaPad U530 Touch Does Not Hold Charge problem page for possible causes and solutions.
