when the PS3 is hooked up with component cables and composite cables it has no color we have tried many cables including brand new ones from the store. however when we hook it’s up with HDMI it works fine..
coreyneyrinck, make sure that you have your PS3 set to composite cables, not component cables. If you use composite cable on a composite output, you will only get black and white. You need to get composite cables (yellow, red, white) for the composite connection. You will only get color from component cables (red, blue, green, and red, white) by connecting them to component inputs. Using component cables on composite inputs, or composite cables on component inputs will give you black and white images. Also, check on here for more info. Hope this helps, good luck.
