I have an M1 Macbook Air that was working fine. (It wasn’t dropped and there were no liquid issues.) I left it running for a few minutes and when I came back the screen was black. I have tried several things to fix it including checking the power, brightness level, reboot, reset NVRAM/PRAM, I was able to connect it to an external monitor where it works fine. Connected to the external monitor I started it up in recovery mode and ran the disk utility. No errors. I then tried to reinstall the OS, but it’s still gray/black. How can I get the display to work?

Sadly you need a new display assembly MacBook Air 13" (A2337, Late 2020) Display Assembly and here’s the guide MacBook Air 13" Late 2020 Screen Replacement

Finally received the kit. (I’m overseas.) and I got it fixed today. Great kit and great instructions! The only problem I had was to get the new display attached. Done! Thank you!
