Printer displays error code 6A81 and the lights on the ink cartridges do light. Canon tech support said, “It’s a hardware problem. Buy a new printer.”

Use the right or left cursor to select [Maintenance / settings], then press. Choose the right or left cursor to select [Device settings], then click. Use the up or down cursor to select [Reset setting], then press. Press the up or down projectile to choice one of the below selections and then click. Telephone no. only Setting only Reset both Use the up / down arrow to select [Yes] on the validation screen and then click. Press the button to return to the COPY menu.
