I recently refurbished an iPhone 6s using an after market housing. The customer who purchased the phone reported nfc was not functioning. Nfc antennas were changed without success. As a final attempt to fix, the logic board was put into an original Apple housing and nfc was restored. Does anyone know if this is an issue with after market housings?

Housings vary in quality, you may very well have received one with an issue. See this answer by Tom Chai (Wi-Fi signal weak after replacing housing) to a similar question. The NFC is also sensitive to how the NFC bracket is placed in relation to the camera. You don’t give the impression of being a noob so I am assuming you’ve done a few of these before :>). That said, all of the antenna magic is based on the proper sequence of installation (Step 39) of all kinds of little conductive thingamabobs with the proper screws. It’s possible you made a misstep on the replacement housing.
