Hello I saw an advertisement on Ebay for a Ipod Touch 3G 8gb faulty. According to the seller the Ipod doesn’t startup. I wonder if i exchange the battery will it come back to life or do you think something else is defective? thanks
Those are big depends. It could be anything from a bad battery to a bad dock connector, water damaged logic board, etc. or may be it just needs a reset… So it is difficult to assess the situation until you get more (and accurate) history as well as to dissect the iPod. I also don’t think the iPod touch 3rd gen comes in an 8GB version, but 32+64 only….
iPod touch 8GB “3rd gen” refers to the 2nd gen touch models released together with the 3rd 32GB and 64GB ones. Commonly known as 2nd/3rd model. Hope it helped.
