After turning on my Xbox i noticed that the fans weren’t spinning so i took it apart checked the fan connection with the multi-meter no power i removed the fans powered back on and there getting 12V plugged fans back in and nothing. Any ideas?
Measuring with no load can easily show the proper voltage, but load will require current flow. I would look at the source of the power for the fan. There is usually a fan “driver” IC or transistor that “turns on” the fan. Having residual voltage potential at the pins means little. Follow the traces on the board back from the connector and check the components on those lines. Dan
