Hello Help, Computer: 21.5" mid 2011 IMac 2428 So upgraded: -500GB HD to 2TB Samsung 860 Evo SSD -OWC thermal data sensor for new SSD -16 to 32 on Ram -Copied over original HD info into SSD prior to install Issue: Fired up Mac, hear chime, black screen and loud fan. I read to shine a light at a slant into black screen to look for if you can see any lettering or words as if it was on, but I didnt see anything. I do have an extra monitor and extra copy of original hd info on external drive, as that was mentioned on a forum. I also have a xtra Sata lll cable, which was purchased before I bought OWC thermal data cable(which used instead) ?? I’m at a loss what to do? New to Mac upgrading. Thanks

I suspect you installed the display cable backwards! Take the display off and then see if an external monitor works. If it does then we know the display cable to the logic board connection is where we need to focus on. Take some pictures of the cables end (both sides) and the socket (tight straight on, looking down into the slot, from the left & Right sides at an 45 degree angle from the logic board and one looking up) so we can see it clearly.
