So I just swapped th logic board of a 6 plus and now it either says No Sim. Or when I restart it with a sim it will just keep saying Searching. I’ll take the sim out and it’ll say the same thing and I’ll put it back and it’s the same. Already tried different sims, different trays, blowing out sim slot. Before moving the logic board it was fine. I know the new housing is fine too because it was working for the other phone. What could it be?
The best way to test it is to put it back in the original housing to see if symptom clears up or remains. if it clears up and works, maybe new housing has an issue…are you using same charging port with same GSM antenna or a new one? If the board “Flexed a bit” during transfer, maybe a cracked solder joint happened on Baseband IC. Retrace your steps to where it was working is my first suggestion to confirm it still works. Does *#06# give you IMEI in new housing? (Just thinking Baseband reball and U1 & V1 jumper may be needed). Get back to us with your results… Best of luck!
Bad logic board, that’s it.
