I have an iphone 5s which I bought from eBay. The problem is when I call I can’t hear and also no one can hear me. The voice memo app also does not register and play any sound. the same happens also with viedo registering , no sound is registered. I tried to restore the phone, changed the speaker, the lightning cable and still no sound coming and going. does anyone know what might be the problem? should audio IC be changed?

The top front microphone serves as error cancellation Make sure you update your device to the latest version of iOS and then try to isolate which microphone is not working properly by trying each individual microphone with the related apps above. If the issue affects more than one microphone, then it could be the Audio Codec IC on the logic board. Anything at the logic board level will require micro-soldering so you would need to find a repair shop that offers those services.
