My sound went out on my Vizio after pausing and taking it off pause. I turned on my DVD player, and I have sound coming from my TV. Should I unplug and restart my direct TV box? I’ve tried everything else. Update (09/27/2020) Sound came back on when I switched from DVD back to hdmi1, but it was weird because the sound was still back where the sound first went out. So I reset the direct TV receiver. And that worked.
