Hi folks, None if the four speakers are working, no start up chime, nothing at all. Yet the OS lists them and thinks they’re operational. And headphone jack works perfectly, including auto switching to speakers as output when disconnected. Could this really be that all four speakers need replacing? Their cables look fine. Maybe audio controller on the logic board? I can’t find a schematic to check. Thanks!
If the headphone jack is working then we know the jack’s routing switches have failed. You’ll need to replace the jack. Here’s the needed part 13” MacBook Pro Audio Board - Space Grey , Apple P/N 923-02516 (recycled)
