I know that home buttons are paired with motherboards, I swapped over the motherboard from phone #1 into phone #2. I connected the screen from phone #1 onto phone #2, The home button works perfectly but touch ID is greyed out. Are the dock connectors linked to TOUCH ID as well? I only swapped the motherboard and screen. Thanks
I’ve replaced the connector dock on a 5s and the touch id didn’t quit working so Id be more inclined to agree with Jake in that something may be shorting the home button. As long as you have the original logic board and the original home button you should be good
