Thinking of buying latest 2020 iMac 27”. Various You Tube geeks say it’s ok do do your own RAM upgrade and save on Apple costs. ie. 128 RAM for about £550 not the £2600 Apple wants. But I’m worried about Apple warranty & Apple Care on a £4000 new machine with my RAM. I spoke to Apple online who after 10 mins say it invalidates warranty. But various online geeks say it doesn’t. Any thoughts ?
