Sorry it won’t work reliably ;-{ I have a 2013 Mac Pro and I foolishly thought it would work, the problem is if you encounter any cell failures you can end up with a corrupted workpiece. I work on ultra large images every so often I would encounter image gremlins! Got the correct RAM and no longer had any problems! I suspect you’ll also face that if you are working on large data sets.
